An unusual gift was received on Valentine's Day by a resident of the US state of Texas. His wife gave birth that day to two pairs of twin boys, identical. According to doctors, this is a unique case, which falls on 70 million no more than once.

The spouses Montalvo, mother, 36-year-old Tressa, and father, 43-year-old Manuel, are very happy. The kids were named Ace, Blaine, Cache and Dylan, in the first letters of the English alphabet. Twins were born ahead of schedule. Fearing complications, and their risk was great, the doctors made the woman a cesarean section when she was 31 weeks pregnant. The youngest Dylan was the most puny. His birth weight was only 1.33 kilograms.

In an interview with ABC reporters, Montalvo said that he, his wife and eldest son, two years old, were waiting for the girl. They still do not lose hope of giving their sons a sister.

The likelihood of twin births increases as a result of in vitro fertilization (IVF), doctors say. But in the case of the Montalvo spouses, the twins were conceived naturally. “Probably, we overdid it a bit,” the father of the family jokes.

In September last year, a resident of Melbourne gave birth to five twins for 48 years. True, one girl was born dead. The family, which already had 12 children, was replenished with two boys and three girls. Since then, it is one of the largest families in the state. 30 people took birth with a large Australian woman, among whom were anesthetists, nurses and pediatricians.
