Teacher's Day in Albania
March 7 in Albania celebrates an important holiday - Teacher's Day, designed to highlight the role of the representatives of this profession in educating the future generation of the country. Residents of Albania, like many other countries, believe that the success and prosperity of the country depend not only on government actions, but also, to a large extent, on the work activities of teachers and kindergarten teachers. After all, they annually "bring" millions of children to life, helping them to gain literacy, the ability to stand firmly on their feet, the desire to actively participate in the public life of the country, as well as the desire for development and prosperity.
The date of the event was not chosen by chance. Its celebration falls on the opening day of the first secular school in 1887, built in the small Albanian town of Korca with the blessing of the Catholic Church. As always, solemn banquets, events and entertainment concerts are organized on Teacher's Day in Albania. Teachers receive a variety of gifts on this day - from greeting cards and flowers to memorable and expensive gifts, as well as thousands of appreciation speeches are sent to them.
City Day Zhodino
On March 7, 2013, the city of Zhodino, located in the Minsk region, is 50 years old.
As you know, one of the world's largest factories for the production of mining equipment BelAZ was built in Zhodino. Originally, the town was called Bohuslav, but was subsequently renamed, thanks to the local Zhodinka River, and officially reborn from the village to the city in 1963. In the period of the Great War of Zhodino, he was in occupation. So the fascist aggressors seized the city in 1941, and three years later, the Red Army liberated it.
The population of Zhodino is about 62 thousand people. More than 20 valuable historical monuments have been erected here, among them the Mother Patriot monument and the mass graves of representatives of the Red Army, who showed courage during the war years and fell under the onslaught of the enemy.
Traditionally, the day of the city is accompanied by entertainment events for adults and children, the performance of the authorities and various concerts, and in the evening hundreds of salutes and fireworks sparkle over the city. The celebration ends with a grand disco.

Initially, Amundsen’s expedition planned to head for the glacial shores of the Arctic, but while preparations were under way, Frederick Cook reported that he had discovered the North Pole. Then the Norwegian explorer changed the plan of action and on a modest ship, the Fram went to Antarctica. His decision was a complete surprise to the public. Choosing a route and organizing a system of warehouses, Amundsen and another four brave men rushed to the Southern Policy itself, reaching it on December 14, 1911. However, only a few months later, the researcher managed to reach Tasmania and announce the discovery.

The decision to form a group of cosmonauts in the USSR became the final stage in the exploration of outer space - in this way people could not only see space from Earth, but also visit it, gaining rich experience and even greater knowledge of the Universe. In 1959, the Central Committee of the CPSU decided "On the medical selection of candidates for cosmonauts." The main selection criteria were: excellent health, the absence of excess weight and age up to 35 years. So it was selected 347 people. However, after the tests, only 20 people entered the final. They, led by Yuri Gagarin, were the first people to fly into space.
